Chapter 9

"You don't need to be so smug. The winner of the biennial exhibition is still uncertain." In an unnoticed corner, Aria suddenly turned her head and glared at me fiercely, leaving these words before quickly running away.

I followed behind, getting into the car without changing my expression.

On the road, the three of us looked at each other, unable to speak for a moment.

I glanced at Wylie, who seemed a bit awkward, and broke the silence first.

"Wylie, do you know anything about sculpture?"

Wylie was taken aback: "Why are you suddenly asking about this? Don't you know me? I've never been interested in these things. If it weren't for you liking it, I wouldn't even try to understand it."

Beside us, Aria, hearing Wylie's declaration of loyalty to me, was nearly tearing her glittering gown with her hands.

I didn't care: "Then what do you think... of my mom's work?"
