Chapter 1

My fiancé and my sister-in-law were caught in an affair. Afterward, they conspired to drug my brother.

Just as my brother stepped into the boxing ring, his muscles suddenly seized up and atrophied. He collapsed on the spot.

He was beaten until his limbs were broken and twisted, his spleen ruptured, blood gushing from his mouth.

No matter how much I screamed to stop it, the opponent's fists wouldn't cease, savagely pummeling my brother.

In that moment of despair, Michael, my childhood sweetheart from the underground fighting scene, arrived and knocked the opponent to the ground with one punch.

He brought in a top medical team to try and save my brother, but he had lost too much blood and tragically passed away.

Michael held me tightly, heartbroken, and swore he would find evidence to avenge my brother.

Grateful for his redemption, I accepted his proposal.

Four years into our marriage, I was bringing Michael some herbal liniment when I overheard his video call with my cheating ex-fiancé:

"As expected of The Champ, you're ruthless! I wonder if Sarah would break down if she knew that her brother had actually been revived, only for you to crush his skull with one punch?"My fingers gripping the medicine bottle instantly stiffened as my fiancé's voice dripped with mockery:

"Sarah is such an idiot, still worshipping you like some savior, willingly spreading her legs for you. Little does she know that even the poison that took out her brother was personally concocted by you!"

Steam billowed from the bathroom, the heat seeping through the door cracks and hitting my face, yet all I felt was a bone-chilling cold in my heart.

Frost's teasing voice rang out:

"Sarah's a prodigy in boxing. To help secure your place as The Champ, she memorized thousands of matches from home and abroad, learning the tactics of every boxer inside out, terrified you might face even a hint of danger."

"If she knew that the husband she so lovingly protects is actually the one who killed her brother, would she fight you to the death?"

Michael's eyes turned icy:

"Cut the crap. You've already stolen the woman I love most. Take good care of Emily, or I'll crack your skull open too."

"Heh, my skull isn't worth much to you anyway."

"But Sarah's brother..."If I remember correctly, besides personally mixing the poison, you also hired that rabid attack dog who beat her brother half to death and wouldn't stop. You never intended for Sarah's brother to leave that ring alive from the very beginning."

"Her brother raised you, an orphan, from infancy, changing your diapers and wiping your ass. He supported you to become the underground Champ. Even a biological father couldn't have done more. And how do you repay him? By falling for his darling and taking his life."

Michael slammed his fist into the mirror, his voice laced with fury:

"Stop gloating!"

"If you hadn't seduced Emily, I wouldn't have had to kill him. I was afraid Sarah's brother would make things difficult for her. I also did it to protect Emily's reputation. Even if I have to go to hell for it, I won't allow Emily to be harmed in the slightest!"

With that, he hung up the phone with a sharp click.

The video call ringtone sounded again. Michael only glanced at the screen for a moment before the rage in his eyes was instantly replaced by tenderness.

Emily sobbed:

"Michael, my dog just died. I can't bear to bury it. Can I borrow that crystal coffin you bought that preserves bodies from decay? I want to keep a memento."Michael's voice was filled with concern:

"Emily, everything I have is yours. You can have anything you want."

"But Sarah's brother's body... I'm a bit scared..."

"Don't be afraid. Just have someone dump it in the mountains. The wild animals will take care of the rest. No need to dirty your hands. I know how much you love being clean."

My hand, gripping the medicinal wine, trembled uncontrollably. I fled to the bedroom, collapsing powerlessly by the bed.

So my brother didn't die from blood loss, but from Michael's iron fist.

Even the poison that initially left my brother paralyzed, and that relentless opponent who wouldn't leave him alone, were all arranged by him!

No wonder he never let me see my brother's body, claiming he was worried it would upset me and be bad for my health.
