Chapter 39 – The Great Separation

Chapter 39 – The Great Separation

A blinding flash of divine light engulfed the battlefield. One moment, Reo was preparing himself to face the unimaginable presence of the Demon King, and the next, everything around him shattered like glass. The world twisted, distorted, and then—silence.

When Reo opened his eyes, he found himself standing alone in an unfamiliar place. The air was thick with magic, the sky an eerie shade of crimson. He was on a floating island, high above a vast ocean of darkness. Celestia's voice echoed in his mind.

"Reo, you are not ready. The Demon King's power is beyond what you can handle now. I have scattered all of us across different lands so you can grow stronger before facing him."

Reo clenched his fists. "Damn it! I was so close! Celestia, where are you?!"

"I am safe, but far from you. Lucia has also been transported to another place. Your journey to power begins now, Reo."

Reo exhaled sharply. If Celestia said he wasn't ready, then he had no choice but to listen. But that didn't mean he had to accept it blindly. He needed to find Lucia, reunite with Celestia, and prepare himself for the battle that would determine the fate of the world.

A Land of Trial – The Island of Titans

The floating island beneath him rumbled. From the mist emerged a towering figure—a Titan, its stone body pulsing with raw energy. It spoke in a voice that made the air tremble.

"You, outsider. You do not belong here."

Reo unsheathed his sword, his body crackling with the energy he had absorbed from the dragon he had tamed earlier. "I don't have time for a warm-up. Either get out of my way or prepare to fall."

The Titan swung its massive fist, sending shockwaves through the air. Reo dodged, barely missing the attack, and retaliated with a new spell he had been developing.

"Eternal Impact!"

A surge of golden energy burst from his palm, striking the Titan's chest. The creature stumbled but did not fall. It let out a deafening roar, and suddenly, the entire island began shifting, as if the Titan itself was controlling the land.

"Alright," Reo smirked. "Let's make this interesting."

Lucia's Struggle – The Frozen Wasteland

Meanwhile, in a distant land covered in endless ice, Lucia was surrounded by monstrous wolves with eyes of glowing blue fire. She had awakened in a frozen wasteland, separated from Reo and Celestia. She knew she couldn't stay still; she had to find them. But first, she had to survive.

Drawing her twin daggers, Lucia took a deep breath. "I'll cut through all of you if I have to."

With lightning-fast speed, she weaved through the pack, her blades dancing as she struck down enemy after enemy. However, as she fought, a colossal ice serpent emerged from the shadows, its gaze locking onto her. This was no ordinary beast. This was a guardian of this land, and it saw Lucia as an intruder.

Celestia's Warning – The Dark Cathedral

Celestia found herself in the ruins of an ancient cathedral, its towering pillars cracked and worn. The air was thick with malevolent energy. In front of her stood a hooded figure, its aura as dark as the abyss.

"So the Goddess of Light dares step into my domain," the figure sneered.

Celestia remained calm, but her golden eyes burned with divine power. "Reo will return, and when he does, your reign will end."

The figure chuckled. "He is weak now. But if he survives the trials ahead, then perhaps… he will be worthy to face the Demon King."

Celestia narrowed her eyes. There was more to this than she had foreseen. The forces at play were beyond even her understanding. The path ahead for Reo was going to be more dangerous than she had anticipated.

The Journey to Reunite

Reo, Lucia, and Celestia were now separated, each facing their own battles. But their goal remained the same—to grow stronger, reunite, and ultimately challenge the Demon King.

Reo clenched his sword tightly, staring at the Titan before him. "I don't care how long it takes. I will find them. And when we meet again, I'll be strong enough to take on anything."

As the Titan roared, Reo charged forward. His battle was just beginning.
