Chapter 10: The Unknown Dimension

As Samuel activated his karna, the cube flashed with multiple colors. "Click! Click! Click!..." clicking sounds came from the cube as if something was being unlocked. The cube's segments opened up revealing its contents. " Samuel I came to check…" Jack's voice entered the room as he opened the door. His words stopped as he was taken aback by the events happening in the room.

At that exact moment, the cubes segments separated from each other and a wave of mythos burst forth. Jack could not see the wave but in the darkness of Samuel's vision, he saw an endless wave of gold. The wave hit Samuel's body and accompanying the wave was the other half of the crystal that entered Samuel's body. It was the other half of his Karna. It was easily absorbed by Samuel's body and it placed itself perfectly within his heart.

Samuel suddenly felt like a piece of him that was missing finally returned and it felt good. As the mythos wave hit Jack he felt a sudden jolt and his Karna was forcefully summoned against his will before he could even process what happened his Karna glowed with a bright light and a portal appeared.

The father's soon pair could only stare at each other as these events unfolded. Samuel didn't know how but the moment that his Karna was became whole. Within the darkness that blanketed his vision, the figure of his father appeared including his Karna and the portal behind him all clear as day. " Daaaaad!"

Samuel yelled in panic, he rushed from the bed and reached his hand out in an attempt to grab his father. "What the.." Jack's words were cut off as he vanished from the room. Samuel was too slow and all he could do was watch his father get sucked into the portal. "Nooo! Aah!" Samuel said as he crashed into the door of his room. His sight was back to complete darkness and he couldn't see anything. " What the hell is happening now" he yelled as he punched the door causing it to crack and nearly break apart.

Yet Samuel couldn't see the damage he caused to the door or the small drops of blood falling from his knuckles. His mind was preoccupied as he could only think about what happened to his dad. His thoughts were soon distracted by the sound of screams coming from his neighbors. He carefully traveled through his home trying to reach the exit door.

Within a large government facility. Many new and hopefully going Karna users were teleported by multiple realm tunnels to rather the celestial Academy of the military academy. Samuel's friends had been teleported from here a few minutes ago. Multiple soldiers could be seen making sure everything went smoothly. That was until an invisible wave of myth hit everyone present. The newly awakened Karna users felt nothing.

But the soldiers and everyone else felt a sudden jolt and their Karnas were forcibly summoned from their Myth Zones. Then a second later they were all sucked into mysterious portals that appeared out of thin air.

Within the central chamber of the library, the sleeping figure of Martha Duke could be seen. Just by looking at her one would assume she is having a normal nap, but if one could see into the digital realm. They would find with this space of constantly changing landscape and code 2 feminine figure having a conversation. Well, it would be more specific to say that Martha was having a blast personally crafting an avatar for Sovereign "Oh yeah this looks sexy" Martha said with a cheeky smile as her hands moved in the air. In front of her, the figure of a curvaceous woman could be seen with long blonde hair and blue eyes.

Although she was beautiful her expressionless face made it seem like she wasn't alive "I fail to understand the purpose of this activity Ms Duke. These forms you keep making for me ultimately mean nothing as I am an AI with no true form." The woman's lips moved as Sovereign's voice left them.

Martha let out a giggle as she said "Hey Come on Sovereign don't be so stiff, you gotta have a little fun in life". The blonde lady's head tilted to the side in confusion " I have been programmed in such a way that I am not capable of having emotions thus I can not have fun" Sovereign said.

Yeah, you keep telling yourself that but I see the truth in you. You are special you are more than just some code. You are alive I can feel it," Martha said with a smile. " Just look at yourself with that body you will have every man in the federation wanting a piece of you hehehe!" Martha added on.

Sovereign looked at her Current body not seeing the appeal that Martha saw. " Although this form is very attractive to the human male population. My data suggests other designs should you wish to create an average that will appeal to 100% of all men and women" Sovereign said with no emotion.

"Now that's what I'm talking about let go….ah!" Martha's words were abruptly broken and her form vanished from the digital dimension. Just as Martha was hit by the Mythos wave Sovereigns core also got hit. Her form within the digital dimension glitched continuously as her core glowed in golden light.

Martha, General Eric and every person within The Library were teleported away.

On planet Solomon Jennifer and Tina have Blessed and the other boys a tour of the celestial Academy. They traveled through decorated halls and corridors. Everything they saw made the boys feel like they finally made it up in life. Just as they were walking Jennifer and Tina suddenly froze and their Karna manifested out of nowhere.

Before the boys could say anything everyone within their surroundings was sucked into a mysterious portal. They looked at each other with many emotions going through them "What the fuck just happened"

Within a Majestic thrown room the ruler of the Federation could be seen surrounded by other officials and guards. Lord Starlight was a hands man with black and grey hair. His royal garbs and his unique aura made those who saw him instantly know that he was a man of power.

Suddenly everyone in the thrown room felt a jolt. Their Karnas activated against their will and before they knew it they were teleported away. But something was strange with lord starlight. When the mythos wave hit him not 1 but two separate Karnas were forced out of his myth zone.

As he was pulled through waves of spatial energy it only took a few seconds before he was thrown out. "Bang!" With a loud crash lord starlight crashed into the ground with such force it made a large crater. It took a few seconds but the man got out of the crater. He was lightly bruised but otherwise fine. The man's gaze quickly landed on a medieval-looking town in the distance.

A look of recognition appeared on his face as Lord Starlight let out a smile.

Unbeknownst to our young protagonist the moment he opened the cube, the wave of Mythos spread in an instant and covered not only the entirety of The Earth but also their entire universe. Every person who has had their Karna for a year or more was forcefully teleported away. Those that remained were for the most part not negative.

Those who had reached the age required to get a Karna but had not done so all acquired a Karna. Chaos was ensured throughout the federation as nearly 70% of humanity vanished that day. Sovereign quickly went into action as robots were deployed to areas that needed assistance physically and all systems throughout the federation went fully under her control.

She informed the public about what was happening effectively. Children who had their parents vanished were taken care of by robots controlled by Sovereign. Hospitals, schools, planes, spaceships and all other fields within the federation were taken care of. Five days after the disappearance the federation was claimed down. But the people were scared of what happened to the people that were teleported.

Even lord Starlight is gone so how can they survive whatever that was.?The people were scared this event was too buzzard and no science or even Sovereign could explain. People even started to feel worried as they witnessed for the first time in history Sovereign malfunction. Not once but on multiple occasions. They weren't anything crazy. Just some slight glitches here and there.

But that greatly scared people. Sovereign was supposed to be perfect and could run on its own even if every human vanished. It should still be able to function perfectly. So the fact that Sovereign wasn't perfect made them even more scared.

On the 7th day since the disappearance all the people that were teleported away returned suddenly. It caused the people to feel joy as their loved ones returned. Well, it was joyful for most people. After a few hours, reports came in from Sovereign throughout the federation that 10% of the people who went missing never made it back. With reports and statements made from the people that were teleported. They have all been declared dead.

The news sent shockwaves through the federation as over 7 billion people died just like that. That is an entire planet's worth of lives. A few days later the public was finally given some information as to where their loved ones were taken. The unknown dimension that had been the source of humanity's greatest power. Was no longer unknown.

It was called the Nexus verse. Not much was known as of yet. But all thoughts that were teleported to Nexus were forced to stay there for 7 days by an entity known by its inhabitants as the Will of Nexus. Once they survived the 7 days they were given the the option to leave the verse. So all those who had not returned were most likely not alive. Although there is a chance that some decided to stay for some reason. The chances were still low. The families of the still missing people were told to expect the worst.

Within the Wild family house, the father-son pair sat next to each other as they watched Sovereign reports. Their expressions were gloomy " I'm never going back there" Jack said. Samuel did not judge his father for those words, Samuel with his Karnas ability could somehow see his father and saw the fear in his eyes. From what Jack had told him the place where he was sent was even worse than any of the reports they had heard so far.

He barely made it back alive. He chose to return the instant his 7 days were up. Had he waited even a second later Jack would not be here today. " It's all my fault I shouldn't have activated my karna," Samuel said with guilt clear in his voice. Jacked hugged his son as he told him "It's not your fault how would you have known what was going to happen? Don't blame yourself" Jack said

The Wild family shared this moment of temporary peace, little did they know their lives were about to change forever. Yet these two could not even imagine the future that away them.

Humanity had just entered a new era one that would forever change their Destiny. No one will be safe from what is to come. Only those who lift their weapons to travel and explore its realm stood even the tiniest chance of survival. Today marks the end of all things rational because 'it' has arrived. Nexus has descended.
