CHAPTER 19: Our Bet Amended

  Ryder's POV

"Um...I'm starting to feel dizzy. I'm going to go back." Scarlett announced after just a while. I looked at Dylan who was faking his concern for her. His eyes were trailing around her.

Scarlett squeezed the towel as water crumpled out of it. She shuddered at the cold towel's contact on her shoulder. Using it as a screen, she emerged from the hot spring and swiftly clad herself in the thin fabric. Smiling at me, Dylan, and the others, Scarlett took her leave.

"What a beauty..." Dylan muttered after she left, dreamily.

I was trying to converge my emotions, to express my annoyance and irritation better. Dylan had no business playing foul with me, intentionally splitting us up while I was so close to winning.

Why was he so afraid of losing the bet? Did he hold his royalties and revenues so close that he turned to play foul?

My arms were crossed against my chest. I was pissed. Breathing out heavily, I finally turned to Dylan.
