CHAPTER 38: Knights In Shining Armor

  Ryder's POV

I knew something was up with her since the moment our tour had started. I was aware that she was married, and I'd heard rumors about her getting separated. I had my trustworthy sources.

But when I watched her walk out of the room with the phone clutched in her hand so tight, that it made her knuckles go white, I knew it was a personal issue.

She wanted her privacy, and I respected that. But since I've confessed my feelings and she did too, my logical brain wanted to check out the situation with her. I wanted to know what was going on and maybe offer comfort and support if necessary.

"She's got a husband, right?" Dylan, slumped on the couch had asked.

"That's what I heard, too, but I can't be too sure," I said, leaving room for a change of information.

My eyes widened when Scarlett's loud voice echoed from the hallway. The door was slightly ajar, and noises and light from the hallway entered her room.
