CHAPTER 63: Accepting Reality

  Ryder's POV

My heart was stabbed multiple times. Each of her examples was elaborate and well...seen through a practical lens that I somehow seemed to lack.

I admired Scarlett's ability to see through things. Or maybe, she's just so mature as a person that she could predict what could be happening if things didn't go well.

It was a trait I admired in her. I'm sure everyone would agree to the same.

Scarlett seemed unshakeable with her decision. It was her life, and I was going to respect her decision no matter what.

"I...have to go back to my room," Scarlett announced after a while of silence.

"Scarlett, I'd prefer you to stay. I insist..." I worked out. I wanted her to stay. I didn't want her to leave because of our disagreement on continuing the relationship or not.
