Scarlett's POV
The ride to the police station was a quick one. Not even five minutes from where I stayed.
The officers ushered me in and I was questioned. Remembering Dylan's confident words and assurance, I gave the truth and nothing but the truth. The officers were pleased with my compliance.
"Thank you for cooperating with us Ms Scarlett. I hope you go home and rest. Our team will send you back home." I stood up and held Aria's hand.
"Bye, Aunty!" She waved at the officer who smiled for the first time in 10 minutes.
I sighed looking at the outside world.
I didn't know what other surprises were waiting for me in my life. But I was sure about my preparation for that kind of situation now.
They say situations make a person grow stronger. I wanted to believe in that completely.
The officer drove us back home, and I looked at my house. It was back to being bright and lively.
