CHAPTER 99: Finale

  Scarlett's POV

This...wasn't just a ticket for the concert. I stared at Dylan who had a painful smile on his face. It broke my heart to see them walk away after giving me a hug that touched my soul to theirs.

  It felt...wrong.

I felt empty so quickly in my heart that I wanted to call them back and tell them that I...loved them.

But I stayed a coward, like always.

With the ticket in my hand, I stared at the open door where their car had pulled out of the driveway and connected with the road.

Is that how I will continue to feel? Lonely and empty?

It was almost unbelievable how one day of proximity between us had shaped every little perspective I had on them.

Dylan, who I thought wasn't as good with children was an amazing father figure for Aria. He became her favorite human in the soan of just few hours. On top of that, Dylan's sensitivity and heart of pure gold had made me drawn towards him like a magnet. It was rare to find a man like him.
