CHAPTER 89: Saved

  [FEW MOMENTS BEFORE]

  Ryder's POV

"Something's not feeling right," I said to Dylan.

"I feel the same way. It's...eerie." Dylan confirmed with me. We watched Scarlett and her daughter drive back home but I couldn't shake this feeling off.

"Get inside the car. We are following her." I said, trusting my intuition on this. And my intuition has never been wrong so far. Dylan wordlessly complied and we hopped inside my car.

I drove behind Scarlett, trying my best to keep the distance between us so it wouldn't look like we were following her. Scarlett was driving slowly and steadily. At this hour, the traffic was peaking but we had to go into lanes and bylanes to follow wherever Scarlett was going.

"Wait. She's pulling up." Dylan said before we could take a turn around the corner.

"Drive past her house. We will park at her neighbor's." Dylan suggested. Agreeing with his plan, I drove past her house slowly.
