"I am sorry to disappoint you, Mrs. Wilson," I said, " James will be asking me to marry him soon and I plan on saying yes to his proposal and neither you nor anyone else can sabotage our happiness,"
"You must think you have a chance at happiness with my son," Mrs. Wilson sneered, "If you came here to see James, then where is he?"
My heartbeat increased as I stood there utterly confused while trying to grasp, "He wasn't aware I would be here, I came here to pay him a surprise visit so it's understandable if he is not here," I replied quickly.
"How stupid of you to think in that shallow way of yours Ellie, my son will never take you as a wife and that is why I believe he is out to pursue someone worth his time," Mrs. Wilson replied in a quick sharp tone.
"What do you mean by that Mrs. Wilson, what is going on, and where is James?" I asked angrily.
"I'm sorry, Ellie," she uttered in a voice filled with no remorse. "But James is getting engaged... to someone else."

　　Back at home, I was surprised to see the door unlocked. I was usually the one at home first so this was strange.


　　It can only mean that Aria was home early. Guess there was a lot to talk about tonight.


　　I opened the door and surely Aria was there on the couch watching a movie.


　　"Hey Aria," I said and proceeded into the house.


　　"Ellie good to see you," she replied and got off the couch to meet me.


　　"What are you doing home this early?" She asked, from the way she did I bet she was being sarcastic about it.


　　"I believe I am the one who is supposed to be asking that question, madam?" I replied.


　　"Okay okay, you got me." She replied and went back to the couch before replying.


　　"I got bored of the office, too much paperwork no fun stuff anywhere." She replied.


　　"So? What did you do about it?" I inquired.


　　"Nothing I just... left," she replied.


　　"What do you mean you just left?"
