"I am sorry to disappoint you, Mrs. Wilson," I said, " James will be asking me to marry him soon and I plan on saying yes to his proposal and neither you nor anyone else can sabotage our happiness,"
"You must think you have a chance at happiness with my son," Mrs. Wilson sneered, "If you came here to see James, then where is he?"
My heartbeat increased as I stood there utterly confused while trying to grasp, "He wasn't aware I would be here, I came here to pay him a surprise visit so it's understandable if he is not here," I replied quickly.
"How stupid of you to think in that shallow way of yours Ellie, my son will never take you as a wife and that is why I believe he is out to pursue someone worth his time," Mrs. Wilson replied in a quick sharp tone.
"What do you mean by that Mrs. Wilson, what is going on, and where is James?" I asked angrily.
"I'm sorry, Ellie," she uttered in a voice filled with no remorse. "But James is getting engaged... to someone else."

　　He hit his hands on the table making a loud explosion sound as he did.


　　He stood up and stared at me, his eyes filled with rage. I could just feel that he wasn't entertained by the whole idea of me defying him.


　　"Is there some bolt in your head that needs screwing huh!" He yelled again.


　　"Sit my dear let's talk this out," said my mother as she tried to calm the situation down.


　　"Your son is getting on my nerves! What does he think he is doing? What the hell do you think you are doing James!" He yelled again.


　　"Dad, I don't want this marriage I want to be with Ellie I love her and you know it." Hearing those words come out of my mouth felt like needles piercing his skull.


　　His level of anger just doubled and he couldn't hold it any longer.
