CHAPTER 66 Just A Pawn

  James' POV

"That is not happening, Dad," I growled. I looked at my dad, looking shocked and, at the same time, surprised.

I wasn't sure if he had thought it through before discussing it with me, but I would not allow such a thing to happen.

"For once, I need you to have faith in me. I will take care of everything, and we will win the case," I said convincingly.

"I have heard enough of your excuses and have let you do things your way so far, I believe it's time for me to take a step because I can't watch a company j built with my sweat and blood go down the drain due to your incompetence," my father replied.

"And then you think, this is the best thing to do? I thought we had an agreement, I thought you didn't care, if we lost the case since I got you the merger between our company and Evelyn's since I am to be married to her,"

"Or was I just a pawn in all of your arrangements?" I asked.
