Nathan's POV
Victor caught my eye the moment he moved.
I hadn't planned to follow him. Hell, I wasn't even sure what I was supposed to be looking for in this damn casino.
But something about him drew me in—maybe it was the fact that he was Evelyn's fiancé, or maybe it was the way he behaved, all smug and careless, surrounded by those omegas like he owned the place.
I couldn't tell if I was more irritated by his arrogance or suspicious of his actions.
Either way, my gut told me to follow.
I pulled out my phone, quickly checking if Caleb had texted me back. Nothing. Of course.
I'd sent him to check out the bar, but knowing Caleb, he'd probably hit another dead end.
That seemed to be our luck these days—one dead end after another.
Sighing, I silenced my phone and slipped it back into my pocket, keeping my eyes locked on Victor.
I stayed far enough behind to avoid drawing attention, blending in as best I could.
