Nathan's POV
Sebastian Miller stood there, effortlessly composed, as he leaned against the wall with a glass of water in his hand.
He looked at me so calmly, like someone who had control over me already. Like he was so certain I wasn't going to report.
I stood rooted in place, unable to pretend I hadn't heard what he'd just said to me. His offer.
When I didn't respond immediately, he scoffed and smirked.
"Don't pretend you didn't hear me, Nathan," he said.
"Are you actually selling your daughter to me, Alpha Sebastian Miller?" I asked.
His smirk widened. "Woah, calm down. That's not what I said," he replied smoothly. "Or… is that what I implied?"
"Well," I shot back, refusing to break eye contact, "that's certainly how it sounds."
He chuckled softly, then pushed himself off the wall as he stood up straight m, taking another sip from his glass.
