Evelyn's POV
"You're a monster! You're a sick monster!" The words tore from my throat. My whole body was trembling, as I fought against their hold.
"You don't love anyone but yourself!"
But no matter how much I fought, no matter how fiercely I struggled, they didn't let go.
And there he stood—my father—smug, triumphant, like a king who had just conquered a kingdom.
A letter out a smirk from his lips, he looked so satisfied.
"Nathan!" I screamed, my voice was already almost gone. "Nathan!"
I just wanted him to wake up, to move, to say something.
Anything.
But there was nothing.
Ava couldn't feel his wolf. I couldn't feel him.
Only silence.
"Don't fight it, my love. There's nothing you can do. It's better he's out of your life now—for good. The quicker, the better."
"No!" I sobbed, shaking my head violently. "No! You're not taking him from me again!"
