Victoria's POV
I placed the next tray of rings on the counter, each piece more exquisite than the last. My fingers moved with precision as I arranged the options, ensuring that every detail was presented flawlessly. My heart, however, raced beneath my calm exterior.
Lily leaned in, scrutinizing each ring with an exaggerated air of disdain. Her lips curled in distaste as though none of the carefully selected pieces were worthy of her approval. Ethan stood beside her, arms crossed, he was smirking now; finding Lily's game amusing.
"What about this one?" I asked, pointing to a stunning band featuring a delicate array of emeralds surrounded by smaller diamonds. "It's a unique combination that balances elegance and personality."
Personality, something they both lacked.
Lily picked up the ring between two perfectly manicured fingers, holding it as though it were a trinket from a bargain bin. "Hmm," she murmured, tilting her head. "It's... decent, I suppose."
