CHAPTER 44 The Perfect Dress

  Victoria's POV

The boutique Caleb chose was a realm of pure luxury. Gleaming chandeliers cast a golden glow over racks of gowns that seemed more like works of art than clothing. The air was filled with the faint scent of roses, adding to the boutique's opulence.

"This one," Caleb murmured, pulling a dress from the rack. It was a floor-length emerald green gown, its fabric shimmering like liquid silk. "This will look amazing on you."

I hesitated, running my fingers over the fabric. "It's… bold," I said, unsure if I could pull it off.

I had initially intended to pick something neutral to blend in, but green was anything but neutral, it would stand out in such an event. It was probably......too bold.

"And perfect," Caleb replied, thrusting the dress into my arms. "Go try it on."

She offered me an encouraging smile.
