Victoria's POV
The past few weeks had been a revelation. After everything Dominic and I had been through, the time we spent together while he recovered felt almost surreal. There were no walls, no pretenses, just us.
At first, the slower pace was strange for him. Dominic wasn't used to sitting still or being taken care of, but he eventually relaxed. We settled into a comfortable rhythm, sharing quiet mornings and lazy afternoons. He'd tease me endlessly, but there was always a softness in his voice that warmed me in ways I couldn't explain.
I'd become so attached to him during those weeks. I found myself looking forward to every moment we spent together, cherishing the little things, the way his smile lit up a room, the way he'd pull me close without a word, the way his presence made me feel safe.
