Griffin's POV
I took a deep breath, allowing the anger to subside a little. Evelyn disgusted me with how she could be all over another male that way. Did she not care about me at all? It was as if I did not exist. How stupid was I to have allowed myself to fall in love with her! Quickly slipping more profoundly into the shadows, I quickly navigated the thick green bushes that hid me from the view of my ex and her lover. I felt sick at the way Nolan had his hands on Evelyn, but there was no time for that.
This was my chance to find Ethan and finally bring him away with me. He deserved better than Nolan; I was the one who had raised him from a newborn baby. With the rain now nothing more than a drizzle, I wondered where they would be hiding Ethan. It felt different. The air was thick as if the storm had stirred unease to blanket Nolan's entire territory.
