Griffin's POV
"Hold on." The driver grunted as he put his foot down on the accelerator and went faster. I grabbed the edge of my seat and swallowed hard. Focusing on the car's interior, I noticed it was dark and uninviting. I wondered what Evelyn was thinking right now. My heart pounded in my chest, and I ran a hand over my face, the frustration boiling over. Why did I feel so nervous to see her again? So many questions swirled in my head, causing a knot of anxiety to form in my stomach.
I had pulled the trigger on this chaotic journey, and this child was in the middle of it all. Who could I blame but myself? Well, my father. If he had just given me the alpha position without making me feel like I was not worthy, then none of this would have happened. Why did I have to fight for it? Nolan's father didn't treat him like that.
The car weaved through the narrow streets until we finally arrived at a secluded area, where I saw an old abandoned warehouse.
