The adrenaline raced through my veins as we tore away from the havoc behind us. The sirens faded into the distance.
"You need to stop whining and focus, if you want to see another day, that is." I heard Simon say. I glanced over my shoulder at our prisoner. He sat curled up with blood soaked bandages wrapped around his wounds. Simon had done a good job so far but I needed him alive and functional for the questions I still wanted answers to.
"If we are going to continue to help you then you must stay conscious." I told him and he flinched at the sound of my voice. Simon seemed amused by that reaction. I smirked and continued, "now tell me, where is Cady?"
