Eryn POV
Training is becoming repetitive. Atticus refuses to let me spar with anyone but him, and he still isn't pulling his punches. The good news is that I am getting quicker and bleeding less.
Atticus lands a punch to my abdomen, and the breath is knocked out of me. I hold up my hand, signaling that I need a break. But Atticus continues to advance on me.
"Stop," I yell out. "I tap."
"You can't give up every time it gets hard," Atticus reminds me. "If this were a real battle, your opponent wouldn't take pity on you because you can't breathe. They would use this as an opportunity to attack you."
"I know," I mumble. "But we have been at it for hours. I am exhausted."
"Did you think Warriors Academy was going to be easy?" Atticus yells at me.
"No," I yell back. "But everyone else got to leave hours ago. Why am I still here?"
"Because you aren't up to par," Atticus says harshly.
