Atticus POV
Eryn has been asleep for several days, and I have not left her side. Every time she wakes up, she is screaming in pain. It is taking every ounce of self-control that I have not to drive to the Twilight Pack and shove my foot up Alpha Kyle's ass.
Jackson has been running the Junior Warrior Camp without me, and I am terrified to know what he is teaching those kids. I know I should be putting the program my father poured his heart and soul into before a cadet, but I can't seem to leave Eryn's side. Hero wouldn't let me if I tried.
Her sedation should be wearing off within the hour, and hopefully, she will be able to return to the pack house.
I am holding her hand when one of the nurses walks in with a needle. A low growl rumbles in my chest as she approaches Eryn. She begins to shake in fear.
"What is the needle for?" I ask her.
"The doctor thought it would be best to keep her asleep," she whispers.
