CHAPTER 92 I Need This

  Eryn POV

I let Atticus hold me, and I fell asleep quickly in his arms. The tingles from the mate bond soothed every fear I had about us, and I let go. I forgot all about the miscarriage and Atticus's exmate waiting for us back at the pack house. Finally, I was able to sleep soundly.

Now, the sun is shining through the small cabin window, and I am jerked back to reality. Anxiety bubbles in my stomach, and tears fill my eyes. Atticus tightens his arms around me but doesn't say anything. I can tell by his breathing that he is not asleep.

Rolling over, I look up at the ceiling and sigh. "We have to talk about all of this eventually."

  "I know," Atticus grumbles.

"I'll start," I whisper. "I am sorry for pushing you away when we needed each other the most and not telling you the whole truth. That wasn't fair to you."

"Wow," Atticus smirks. "Are you saying I was right?"

I shove him gently in the shoulder. "I am always right."
