CHAPTER 49 Captive

  KAT

"If you want to see your mate again, meet us at the old gymnasium tomorrow at 8:00 P.M.," the first man says with a hint of humor in his voice.

"Please," I beg as they drag me away. "Please let me go. This isn't my fight."

"You are more a part of this than you know," the third man says before he shifts into his wolf and runs beside us as we disappear into the night.

The two men drag me farther and farther into the woods that surround my house. They have been dragging me along for what feels like hours. I try my best to keep up with their daunting pace, but it is becoming impossible. My legs feel like jelly, and I know that I won't be able to make it much longer. Stumbling over a large stick that is lying on the forest floor, I fall flat on my face.

"You'll have to carry her," the first man says to the second. "She'll never make the rest of the way."
