"Dad, you can't be serious!" I could feel the heaviness rise in my chest, as my father explains he has arranged for my hand in marriage. 
"You know why this is a good idea. If the truth comes out, the pack would question your ability to lead; it is for the best." Dad explains as if it is the most natural and simplest solution. 
When I woke up today, this was never a possibility of events that I would be going through. However, here I stand in my father's office while he and my stepmother proceed to explain to me that they have planned my life out for me. I have already been trained to take over as alpha since I could walk, but now, I don't even get a chance at love.

You're My Alpha

　　After we all agree that I need to speak to my Dad about Giselle, we head towards the bonfire. It's a fifteen minute walk, but Justice loops us in on all the latest warrior gossip, ie, who's sleeping with whom.


　　"So, Kira, what's the game plan when we get to the bonfire?" Bella asks. "Yeah, do you want us to jump this alpha asshat? Cuz I am totally on board with that," Justice chimes in, making us all laugh.


　　"I don't know. Until I talk to my Dad, I feel like I shouldn't rock the boat with Giselle," I reply, while letting my fingers run across all the leaves hanging off branches.


　　Everything is beginning to bloom now that we are in spring, and I love how lush the woods on our property becomes. 


　　"I don't have to make out with Miles, by any means, but perhaps it should get back to Giselle that we were pleasant to one another. I want her to believe that she has backed me into a corner," I explain further.
