"Dad, you can't be serious!" I could feel the heaviness rise in my chest, as my father explains he has arranged for my hand in marriage.

　　The dining room is settling down after Alpha Ben has finished his speech. Everyone looks happy. Everyone, but Giselle.


　　She creeps away from my dad to head out the back door. My gut tells me I should follow her. I tell Alex that I am going to the restroom and that he should fix his plate. I know that he is starving because I heard his stomach rumble twice while Alpha Ben was speaking.


　　Distracting Alex with the thought of food, I sneak out the same door Giselle exited from.


　　"I don't think she knows your scent now that you have shifted; plus, our scent is mixed with Alex. But I am going to mask our scent just in case." Lady tells me.


　　"You can do that?" I ask my wolf, who continues to amaze me. "Oh darling, you have no idea what we are capable of!" Lady says, before going silent again.
