　　'Let him explain, my love.' Alex says gently in our link, and I realize I am getting ahead of myself. So, I sit back and let Miles continue.


　　"I shifted and we fought hard, until Jeremy made his move. I clocked his movements. I knew the minute he was going to go for my throat. My wolf dodged before he could latch on, and bit down on the side of his neck. My wolf held on until a chunk of flesh was ripped from my brother's neck. He shifted back almost immediately. The moonstone dropped to the floor from a necklace Jeremy had around his neck.
