The air crackled with tension as I stood at the edge of the clearing, my piercing gaze fixed on the figure emerging from the shadows. Memories flooded my mind—long-buried feelings of loss and rage resurfaced at the sight of the wolf who had shattered my childhood.
"Drax," I growled, my voice low and steady, masking the tumultuous emotions roiling inside me. "Your time has come to pay for your crimes."
Drax chuckled, a chilling sound that echoed through the trees. "Crimes? No, cub. I'm here to collect something." He gestured dismissively toward the direction of the pack lands, a mocking smile playing on his lips. "You think you can protect your people? You couldn't protect one of them all those years ago. What makes you so different now?"
