Olivia's POV
"Really," Christopher affirmed. "And for what it's worth, I think you're incredible. Both as an actress and as a person. Anyone who can't see that is a fucking idiot."
His words washed over me like a warm wave, melting away the knot of anxiety that had been twisting in my gut. A smile tugged at the corners of my mouth, spreading slowly across my face until I was beaming at him like an idiot.
Before I could think better of it, I leaned across the center console and wrapped my arms around Christopher's neck, pulling him into a tight hug. For a moment, he seemed startled, his body tensing against mine. But then his arms came around me, strong and sure, and I felt myself melting into his embrace.
When was the last time I'd been held like this? Like I was something precious and fragile, yet strong all at the same time? Logan's hugs were nice, but this... this was something else entirely.
