CHAPTER 54

  Olivia's POV

I watched Christopher expertly maneuver his car into a parking spot outside the café. The clock on the dashboard read 4:50 PM.

"Well, here we are," Christopher announced, turning to face me with his million-dollar smile. "I'll pick you up later, alright?"

Suddenly, a memory hit me like a ton of bricks. Logan. Movie night. Shit.

"Oh, um, actually..." I started, fumbling for words. "I just remembered I've got some plans tonight."

  His eyebrow quirked up. "Plans?"

I shifted uncomfortably in my seat. "Yeah, you know... stuff. I'll call you if anything changes, though."

"Stuff, huh? Maybe plans with your boyfriend?"

How did he always manage to see right through me?

"It's alright," he continued. "We'll catch up on Monday at the studio."

I nodded, relieved. But then another thought struck me. "Wait, what about dinner tomorrow?"

"Ah, yes. Our homemade dinner date." He smirked. "I assumed you'd be busy with your boyfriend all weekend."
