CHAPTER 39

  Olivia's POV

Logan fumbled with his keys, nearly dropping them in his excitement. I smiled at his eagerness, even as I thought of Christopher's unanswered text.

"Home sweet home," Logan announced, swinging the door open with a flourish.

I stepped inside, taking in the familiar sight of his cluttered apartment. A pile of laundry sat on the armchair, and dirty dishes filled the sink. Classic Logan.

"Make yourself comfortable," he said, gesturing to the couch. "I'll grab us some snacks."

I plopped down on the couch, kicking off my shoes and tucking my feet under me. Logan returned with a bowl of popcorn and two beers, settling beside me.

"Ready for some steamy romance?" he asked, wiggling his eyebrows.

"Just start the show, Casanova."

Logan started the series. The story followed two attractive twenty-somethings navigating the perils of modern dating. I got sucked in, even though it was cliché and formulaic.
