CHAPTER 73

  Olivia's POV

I took a deep breath, trying to calm my nerves as I stepped onto the makeshift stage in the rehearsal room. Michael, playing Alex, stood across from me, looking annoyingly handsome in his casual attire.

"Ready?" Harrison called from his director's chair.

"As I'll ever be," I muttered under my breath.

  "Action!"

Michael-as-Alex flashed me a dazzling smile. "So, Lily, what do you think of this place?"

I glanced around, pretending to take in our imaginary surroundings. "It's... nice," I said, channeling Lily's awkwardness. "I've never been to a fancy restaurant like this before."

"I wanted our first date to be special," Michael replied smoothly.

We continued the scene, stumbling through awkward small talk and stolen glances. I had to admit that Michael was pretty good at this whole acting thing. Made me wonder if I looked like a total amateur next to him.

"Cut!" Harrison shouted. "Great job, you two. Let's move on to the next scene."
