CHAPTER 69

  Olivia's POV

I leaned against the railing of my tiny balcony, sipping lukewarm coffee and staring at the city lights. The evening breeze ruffled my hair, carrying the scent of someone's barbecue. My stomach growled, reminding me I hadn't eaten since lunch.

I scrolled through Logan's texts again.

Logan: Sorry, babe, swamped with work. Rain check?

Me: Sure, no problem. Good luck with work!

Logan: Thanks for understanding. You're the best!

I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, I'm the best at getting stood up."

My phone buzzed, and for a split second, I thought it might be Logan coming to his senses. Nope. Christopher Wallace, movie mogul, and walking temptation.

Mr. Wallace: Anytime. Let me know if you need anything else.

I stared at Christopher's message, my thumb hovering over the reply button. What could I even say? "Thanks for the sugar daddy starter pack"? I snorted and tossed my phone onto the couch.
