Olivia's POV
I leaned against the balcony railing, soaking in the view of the secluded forest surrounding the mansion. The night air was crisp, filled with the gentle rustling of leaves and the distant chirping of crickets. It was a far cry from the bustling city life I was used to.
Inside, I could hear Christopher's muffled voice as he paced around the bedroom, engaged in an intense phone conversation about an upcoming film premiere. His voice rose and fell, punctuated by occasional laughter or exasperated sighs.
My phone buzzed, pulling my attention away from Christopher's amusing tirade. It was a message from Logan.
Logan: Hey babe, where are you? How are the rehearsals going?
I bit my lip, guilt gnawing at my insides. I hated lying to him, but what choice did I have?
Me: Rehearsals are great! Actually, I'm at my brother Adam's apartment. His friend is having a birthday party.
Logan: Oh, cool. When will you be back?
