CHAPTER 156

  Olivia's POV

I was pulling plates closer, the fresh coffee and bacon aroma making my stomach growl embarrassingly loud.

"Someone's eager." Christopher emerged from the bedroom, now dressed in dark slacks and a crisp white button-down highlighting his broad shoulders.

"You try resisting this spread after being teased with promises of breakfast for the last hour." I stabbed a piece of bacon, waving it at him accusingly. "This is your fault."

He slid into the chair across from me. "My fault? You're the one who insisted on coffee first."

"Because caffeine is life." I took a huge bite of the bacon, barely restraining a moan. "Oh god, this is amazing."

"Should I be jealous of the bacon?" His foot nudged mine under the table.

I swallowed before answering, "Absolutely. This bacon would never leave me hanging for a shower."

"No, but it might give you a heart attack." He reached for the coffee pot and filled both our cups.
