  I felt the familiar heat rise to my cheeks at his words, my breath catching as his fingers traced patterns against my scalp. "You're the one who keeps finding ways to distract me. I was perfectly ready for this helicopter adventure until you started with the touching and the-" I gasped as his lips found my neck. "See? This. This right here is distraction tactics."

  "You call it a distraction." His breath was warm against my skin. "I call it appreciation."

  "Appreciation requires a helicopter-free environment?" I tried to step back but found myself trapped between his body and the window. "What happened to your strict scheduling?"

  "Some things are worth being flexible for." His hand slid down to my waist.

  "Oh, now you're flexible? Mr. 'I-count-down-helicopter-minutes' is suddenly okay with schedule changes?"

  He pulled back just enough to meet my eyes that infuriating smirk playing on his lips. "Only when the alternative is more entertaining."
