Olivia's POV
I crossed my arms. "So what, I'm supposed to feel special because you've had some grand epiphany?"
"You're supposed to understand that meeting you changed everything. You make me laugh. You challenge me. Hell, you're standing here right now, tearing me a new one instead of just smiling and nodding like a good little sugar baby would," he said, his voice tinged with frustration and admiration.
"Maybe I'm just bad at being a sugar baby."
"Or maybe you're exactly what I need. Someone real. Someone who sees past the money and the power games."
"That's a lovely speech. Did you rehearse it in front of the mirror?"
"I mean every word." His eyes locked onto mine, intense and unwavering.
"Just like you meant it with Ashley and probably a dozen others before her."
"You don't understand. With them, it was all about rules and expectations. Be available whenever Daddy calls. Wear what Daddy likes. Act how daddy wants."
