The Hunter’s Pursuit

A cold breeze swept through the city as Jin-Ho walked through the dimly lit streets. His mind replayed Jisoo's warning. If the guilds were truly looking for him, then his time was running out. He had to move carefully.

He ducked into an alleyway, summoning a shadow to cloak his presence. The ability was growing sharper, more instinctual. Even seasoned hunters would struggle to sense him now.

A sudden presence made him stop. He wasn't alone.

"Jin-Ho Kang."

The voice was deep, authoritative. Jin-Ho turned slowly to find a man standing at the entrance of the alley. He was tall, muscular, and carried an aura of danger. His eyes glowed with an unnatural light—a high-rank hunter.

"You've been causing quite the stir," the man continued, stepping forward. "The guilds are curious. Who trained you?"

Jin-Ho said nothing, his mind calculating. He didn't recognize this man, but the insignia on his jacket gave him away—he was from one of the top guilds.

"I don't belong to any guild," Jin-Ho replied calmly.

The hunter chuckled. "That's what makes you interesting. People don't just get strong overnight."

Jin-Ho's fists clenched. He could take this guy. He knew it. But drawing attention was dangerous. Instead, he smirked. "Maybe I'm just talented."

The hunter's eyes narrowed. "Or maybe you're hiding something."

Before Jin-Ho could respond, the hunter lunged. But Jin-Ho was faster. His shadows wrapped around him, pulling him into the darkness. The hunter's strike hit nothing but air.

When the shadows dissipated, Jin-Ho was gone.

The hunter exhaled sharply, eyes scanning the empty alleyway. "Interesting," he muttered. "Very interesting."
