Jin-Ho barely had time to prepare before he sensed them. A group of elite hunters, closing in fast. The Celestial Fang Guild didn't play games.
He shifted into the shadows just as the first strike came, a blade slicing through where he had stood moments before. He reappeared a few feet away, facing his attackers.
Five hunters. Each radiating killing intent.
"Jin-Ho Kang," one of them said, stepping forward. "Come quietly, and we won't have to break you."
Jin-Ho smiled. "You assume you can."
They attacked in unison, but Jin-Ho was faster. His shadow tendrils lashed out, clashing against their weapons. The battle was fierce, but Jin-Ho's newfound strength overwhelmed them.
One by one, they fell. And when the dust settled, Jin-Ho stood alone.
He wiped the blood from his face, heart still pounding. The Celestial Fang Guild wouldn't stop. This was only the beginning.
But he wasn't afraid.
He was ready.
