CHAPTER 30: Your Biggest Flaw Is Being Softhearted

  "August 8th, huh? That's a great date."

I stood up, tossing the remaining piece of bread into the trash can, and smiled at Daniel, pretending to be harmless.

Chloe, as if deliberately trying to irritate me, placed her hand on her barely noticeable belly and flaunted,

"Of course! Daniel and I are bound to be happy. The three of us—our little family—won't let anyone with ill intentions ruin it."

  I nearly laughed out loud.

She was the one who had destroyed my marriage, yet now that I was no longer in the picture, she had the audacity to label me as someone with bad intentions.

Thinking about it, Chloe might be the most shameless person I've ever met in my 26 years of life—no competition.

"Chloe, you should stop scaring people with such ridiculous jokes. I've finally been cured of my blindness after being blind for so long. I wouldn't want to go blind again," I retorted cryptically.
