CHAPTER 39

  Aria's POV

"What's wrong?" Knox asked, looking concerned.

"I'm fine," I replied with a soft smile.

He shook his head, stepping closer to me with a small frown. "Something has been bothering you, Aria. You can tell me, and I'll take care of it." He urged.

I hesitated. Cornelius' words replayed in my mind.

'Do me a favor and keep this between us. Or you could go running to him like the little girl you are.'

I knew what Cornelius was trying to do. He was trying to keep me silent, so that I wouldn't tell Knox.

"Aria?" Knox called, furrowing his eyebrows in worry when I didn't reply.

I released a sigh. "I'm just worried that some of your pack members might not be pleased that an omega like me is coming to be their Luna Queen." I said vaguely, without mentioning names.
