CHAPTER 83

  Aria's POV

Before I could even blink, Hunter threw a punch straight at my face. I barely dodged, stumbling back a few steps, almost losing my balance.

"Too slow," Hunter said, folding his arms. "Speed over strength, remember? You cannot win by overpowering anyone. Not with your build. You need to be faster, smarter- hit when they're vulnerable and avoid attacks that'll take you out in one shot."

I nodded, breathing heavily and sweating profusely. "Got it."

Hunter ran a hand through his hair. He wasn't even breathing heavily, or sweating. It wasn't fair. We had been training for hours, yet I was the only one looking like a mess.

"We're done for today." He said, glancing up at the sky that was getting brighter.

I released a deep breath of relief, and relaxed my tense muscles.

"Oh, thank the moon goddess." I breathed, collapsing to my knees.

Hunter stared down at me with an unimpressed look on his face.
