Nyla POV
As I stood in front of the building going to meet my worst nightmare. I was skeptical whether to go in or not. These days I can't figure out the decision I make anymore, but this isn't any decision. I'm doing this for my loved ones, I reminded myself.
I won't lie, I wasn't scared. My hand was shivering, and my heart pounded heavily. Taking a deep breath and shoving my fears behind me, I step into the building.
"If you are here for the project this way," the security guard I met at the entrance said.
"I'm not here for the project. I'm here to meet Mia, the owner of this company," he led me to the receptionist, who made a call, and I was asked to come in.
Taking the elevator to the fifth floor with the guard behind me, I stopped to meet Mia's assistant, who informed Mia, she pointed to the door, but when I turned the doorknob to get myself inside, she blocked my path immediately. I raised my eyebrow at her.
