CHAPTER NINE I WANT WHAT YOU WANT

  DAVIS

"Let's get married, Davis." She said taking me off guard and making me struggle to hide my feelings towards that MARRIAGE word at the moment but I knew she saw it already because her fake smile was wearing off in an instant.

The anger was starting to boil over, I had touched a wrong nerve this time and I know there's no getting out of it. Then she masked it with a fresh smile tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

I approached her while she retreated, "Nat,"

"What? You won't do that? You won't consider marriage with me?"

"Nat, hear me out first, I need you to understand all I have to say..."

"Davis, it's okay. I understand." She interrupted and I could see that she didn't. She's locking her feelings away from me and it was pretty obvious that she was forcing out her fake emotions for me at the moment.

"No," I shook my head. "You don't understand," I said peering into her eyes.
