DAVIS
"You are seeing another man already?" I asked as I leaned by my car right in front of Nat's new residence.
She was leaning by her doorway with her hands crossed, avoiding my gaze as soon as she met my eyes.
"Why? Do you want me to see that? You want to know how hurt I'm gonna be if I happen to see you with another man?"
"Everything is not about you Davis. I've moved on. You need to do that or probably, focus on your wife and your life now. I don't think we should be..."
"Nat," I came close to her, "Do you know the desire that still burns inside of me when I see you? Do you know how hard I try not to think of you, all the days we spent together, the steamy moments? You think I should forget about them?"
She met my eyes and held it for a moment, "Yes, do that for your wife's sake."
"Damn it! Nat! She's not my wife! She can never be my wife, and you know it."
"I know nothing, Davis! She's your wife, stop deluding yourself and concentrate on her."
