DAVIS
"Dahila loves me." I hummed all morning. I've never been so happy. She does. Oh my God. I wish I can go back to the time she whispered those words into my ears.
I took up my toothbrush staring at my reflection in the mirror and I wondered if I'm the one she actually confessed those feelings to.
Maybe she was drunk when she said that to me. I came out of the bathroom to meet her sitting down at the edge of the bed, "Do you really love me Dahila?"
She chuckled, "How many times am I going to repeat that?"
"I want to keep hearing it. I want to be sure you're actually saying those words to me."
She ignored me as she got up slowly, going over to the dressing table to get her bag. She was already ready to leave for work.
"Hey, just say you love me okay?"
"Davis go to hell. You don't expect me to say that. It's so embarrassing." She replied.
"At least, you can wait up so I can take you to work, I can move around pretty well now."
