"Doctor!" Grandma Scott screamed out rushing towards the doctor as he came out the ward, "What's wrong with my grandson? What happened?"
The doctor, his face grave, shook his head as he spoke. "It's exhaustion, Mrs. Scott." He paused, taking a deep breath before continuing. "The emotional strain has taken its toll. There are too many unanswered questions, too many doubts, too many fears. Mr. Scott's body has simply shut down. He needs rest. He needs time to recover."
Grandma Scott's face crumpled. She grasped the doctor's hand, desperation and fear evident in her eyes. "Please," she begged.
"I'll do everything I can, Mrs. Scott," the doctor replied, his tone kind but firm. "But your grandson has been pushed to his limits. We need to give him the space and the time to heal. To find his way back to himself."
A nurse appeared at the doctor's side, pulling him away to address some other issue.
As soon as the doctor left, Grandma Scott phoned Johan immediately.
