CHAPTER 83 They Can Wait

  Winston POV

I stop dead in my tracks. Macy's hand covers her mouth, and she cries. I pray they are happy tears.

  "Say it again," she whispers.

"Macy," I say her name a little louder this time.

My voice is hoarse, and it hurts to speak, but I will say her name a thousand times if it makes her happy. Macy drops to her knees in the middle of the street and hides her head in her hands. Her body shakes with the sobs that are taking over her body. Her emotions hit me through the mate bond. She is happy, sad, terrified, exhausted, anxious; the list could go on.

Edward and I rush to her side and help her to her feet. She wraps her arms around our necks and holds us close. I don't know how long we have been apart, for us it has been about two months, but it has been much longer for her. It seems to have taken a toll on her

"I was so scared," she whimpers. "I thought you would have moved on."

"Never," Edward breathes. "We belong to you."
